Paper Title :: Automatic Number Plate Recognition System using Optical Character Recognition for Vehicle Identification

One remarkable application of optical character recognition (OCR) is automatic number plate recognition, or ANPR. ANPR is an image processing breakthrough that uses sophisticated images to differentiate a car from its license plate. In light of optical character recognition (OCR), we have presented an observation for vehicle number distinguishing evidence in this work. OCR is used to read a printed character number plate that has been optically created; layout coordination is required. This computation is tested using a variety of comprehensive brightening car images. The final step in the recognition of a vehicle's number plate is OCR. The characters on the license plate are converted into writings as a gesture of gratitude. The layout coordination computation is then used to perceive the characters.

As AI code assistants become integral to developer workflows, they increasingly influence not just how software is written, but how it is architected. While existing studies have examined syntactic bugs and insecure code patterns produced by large language models (LLMs), little attention has been paid to the design-level flaws these tools may introduce - flaws that impact authentication design, data flow, trust boundaries, and security architecture. This position paper explores the emerging class of AI-induced design flaws, presents real examples generated by mainstream tools, and outlines why these subtle risks are harder to detect than code-level issues. We argue for a new category of security analysis - design pattern drift in AI-assisted development - and call for automated security reviews that look beyond code correctness into architectural soundness.

Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) is an important component in grid-connected solar power systems due to its ability to generate high-quality output voltage, easy structure expansion, and efficient operation in large-power applications. Research on MMC focuses on improving the quality of output voltage and enhancing operational reliability, especially in renewable energy systems where output voltage and power often fluctuate depending on environmental conditions. This paper proposes a solution to improve the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the output voltage from MMC in grid-connected solar power systems. The solution integrates the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm to ensure optimal power exploitation from solar panels. At the same time, the paper focuses on analyzing the impact of the number of sub-modules in the MMC on the quality of the output voltage, including the level of harmonic distortion and operational stability. The main objective is to develop a suitable MMC design and control method to minimize THD, ensuring that the output voltage meets the strict standards of the grid-connected power system. In addition, the paper also discusses in detail the mechanism of integrating MPPT into the MMC, thereby highlighting the ability to optimize the system's operation under conditions of continuous changes in sunlight intensity. The testing process is carried out through simulation on MATLAB/Simulink software, in which the system parameters are surveyed to determine the relationship between the number of sub-modules and the quality of the output voltage. The research results provide useful information to guide the design of MMC for renewable energy systems, not only optimizing performance but also ensuring operational flexibility, suitable for the requirements of modern energy systems.

Paper Title :: Sharding Strategies for Scalable Vector Databases

Within the scope of this study, a systematization and comparative analysis of various sharding strategies applicable to distributed vector stores have been carried out. The objective of the work is to analyze strategies for the joint use of scalable vector databases. The methodological approach is based on a review and synthesis of advances in the architectures of distributed vector databases and their partitioning techniques as reflected in scientific publications and technical reports. To assess the effectiveness of each strategy, a comparative analysis was conducted according to criteria such as access latency (latency), throughput (throughput), search accuracy (recall/precision), and load balancing (load balancing). The scientific novelty of the study lies in the proposal of a multi-criteria framework decision model that takes into account the heterogeneity and variability of workloads in modern AI systems. Practical conclusions demonstrate that hybrid strategies providing an adaptive combination of data partitioning with query processing parallelism exhibit the greatest versatility and efficiency when operating with highly loaded vector databases. The results obtained are of significant interest to data engineering practitioners, scalable system architects, and researchers in the fields of data management and artificial intelligence.

The evolution of the web from a static form, like that of the first version Web 1.0, to an interactive system like Web 2.0, and its further transformation into a fully decentralized social web Web 3.0, mark a significant advance in technological development. This development has brought about the emergence of the Metaverse, a set of online, 3D virtual worlds where we participate, communicate, collaborate with our digital selves, known as "Avatar", in digital multi users environments. The Metaverse has gained significant attention since 2021, when Facebook rebranded as Meta, highlighting its role in the Metaverse world. In this context, this paper focuses on the analysis of the integration of the metaverse in the educational space. The research explores the potential and benefits of the metaverse, as well as the related issues and risks that may arise. To support the research process, a literature review was used in international research databases as well as authoritative websites of academic and business organizations. Findings indicate that Metaverse enhances the educational process by creating realistic and interactive learning environments and promoting social interaction and experiential learning. However, potential risks such as digital inequality, misuse of educational data, cyberbullying, overuse of the metaverse by students, isolation from the physical environment, and obsession with virtual worlds and our digital persona need to be seriously considered.
